Kambyo: The Calm Before the Storm

"Kambyo" had its gala night at UP Film Institute last night (July 5, 2008) where the whole cast was present namely, Harold Macasero, Ray An Dulay, Johnron Tañada, Gabz del Rosario, Kanjie Garcia and May-I Fabros (the only girl in the movie).

The movie was a fun-date movie with many amusing parts, but everyone held their breath when the love scene of Ray An and Johnron was shown on screen which got an applause from the audience.

Almost everyone was saying that Harold Macasero (playing Xavier) was very believable in his role and he was a good actor in the movie. Johnron had a very short but effective role in the movie as Ray An's long lost love. Gabz had the most amusing role soliciting amused laughter from the audience. Whilst Kenjie, as usual, along with Ray An delivered good acting like seasoned professionals.

Direk Joselito Altarejos presented the movie as a breather from "Ang Lalake sa Parola" which was sad and from "Ang Lihim ni Antonio" which was tragic. He said that Kambyo is a light movie which will reveal small changes in the big lives of gay/bisexual people.

Watch the uncut movie on it's simultaneous regular run at Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East and RObinsons Ermita on July 9, 2008. The movie was classified by the MTRCB as R-18 (without cuts).

Despite the very steamy and passionate love scene of Johnron Tañada and Ray An Dulay, Kambyo will be shown in theaters uncut. Yes, it has received an R-18 rating with no cuts!

Kambyo's Premiere Night

The premiere night of "Kambyo" in UP Film Institute has been moved to a later date (July 3, 2008, Thursday • 7pm). It's regular showing is still on July 9, 2008 at Robinson's Galleria.

Harold Macasero: Kambyo

You probably remember him from his Anna Karenina stint. But Harold Macasero's first movie was "Wanted: Perfect Mother" (1996). He also appeared in "Kiss Mo Ko" (1999), "Lastikman" (2004), "Sukdulan" (2003) and "Reyna" (2006).

Harold heads the cast of "Kambyo", the third collaboration of Digital Viva and BeyondtheBox. Under the guidance of the dynamic-duo of gay-oriented masterpieces, Joselito Altarejos and Lex Bonife, Harold plays the role of Xavier in "Kambyo".

Ray An Dulay, Johnron Tañada, Gabz del Rosario and Kenjie Garcia completes the cast of the indie which will be regularly shown at Robinsons Galleria on July 9, 2008. The premiere at UP Film Center has been moved to July 3 (Thursday) instead of June 26 as earlier announced.

Ray An Dulay: Bathhouse

A lot will envy Ray An Dulay in "Kambyo". He plays Michael who has a very hot encounter with the Men of Provoq hunk Johnron Tañada.

He is best remembered in his role in 'Bathhouse'(2005) with Jet Alcantara (who also wrote the script). His other film credits includes 'Moreno'(2007) where he played Denver, 'Pitong Dalagita'(2006) and 'Retaso'(2007) with Ynez Veneracion.

Kenjie Garcia: Kambyo

After his very strong performance as a 15-year-old boy exploring his gay feelings in "Ang Lihim ni Antonio", Kenjie Garcia will play one of the lead characters in the new digital film "Kambyo" along with co-stars Harry Macasero (AnnaKarenina), Ray an Dulay (Bathhouse), Johnron Tañada (Provoq, Hubad) and Gabz del Rosario (Provoq).

"Kambyo" is the latest collaboration of Digital Viva and BeyondtheBox. Joselito Altarejos directs while Lex Bonife wrote the screenplay. The movie will have a premiere on July 3, 2008 (Thursday) at UP Film Institute and it's regular showing at Robinsons Galleria will be at July 9, 2008.
